The UPS system generates a high voltage that can be dangerous if unauthorized repairs are attempted. Repairs may only be carried out by trained and instructed personnel. • The UPS system contains a battery energy source. The sockets of the uninterruptible power supply (UPS) can be live as intended, even if the UPS system is not connected to the mains. With the battery start function, the UPS system can also be put into battery operation without a mains supply. This means that a voltage of 230V/50Hz is present at the output of the UPS system. • Prevent water and other objects from entering the UPS system and the sockets. • Connect the UPS system directly to the earthed two-pin Schuko socket using only the permanently connected power cable. • The power connection of the UPS system must be easily accessible so that the UPS system can be disconnected from the mains quickly. • In the event of danger, switch off the UPS system and pull the power plug of the UPS cable out of the socket. • Important: This UPS system is not suitable for supplying inductances (electric motors or transformers). Do not connect a laser printer or plotter to the UPS. These consume more power during operation than the UPS can supply. The UPS system will then go into overload and switch off. • Do not throw the battery into a fire - the battery may explode. Do not open the battery - battery acid released can cause chemical burns to the face and eyes.
