UPS
Compact and lightweight 700VA / 350W UPS for reliable protection of individual workstations. Equipped with an automatic system test, maintenance-free lead batteries, a USB interface, and intelligent shutdown software.
This space-saving uninterruptible power supply (UPS) with a rating of 700 VA / 350 W is the ideal solution for protecting your workstation. It effectively protects sensitive hardware from power outages and voltage fluctuations. The automatic system and battery test ensures maximum reliability by continuously monitoring the readiness of the maintenance-free lead batteries. The integrated USB interface lets the UPS communicate directly with your PC. Included in the scope of delivery are the matching data cable as well as management and shutdown software, which safely and automatically shuts your system down during a longer power outage.
Please always observe the basic safety regulations when installing and using the UPS system. Because life-threatening voltage levels are present inside the system, the IP20-rated housing may only be opened by qualified service personnel. Make sure the system is properly grounded and operated in a compatible TN, IT or TT power system. Be sure to compare the nameplate data with your power grid and the total power consumption of the connected devices in advance. To avoid fire risk, the unit may only be connected to a circuit protected by an easily accessible circuit breaker (rated at 20 A, C trip curve). For hardwired systems, an external disconnect switch is required, while for plug-in devices the socket must be in immediate proximity and easily accessible. Always follow all connection and operating instructions in the manual in the exact order specified. Choose the installation location of the UPS carefully. The system must never be installed near liquids, in excessively humid environments, in direct sunlight or near heat sources. Make sure that no foreign objects enter the interior and that the ventilation grilles are never blocked so adequate cooling is ensured. If interim storage is necessary, it must be carried out in a dry place. Permissible storage temperatures are between -25 C and +55 C without batteries and between 0 C and +40 C with batteries, with temperatures below 25 C recommended for optimal battery life. Special care is required when handling the installed batteries, because they contain small amounts of toxic substances and pose a risk of electric shock and high short-circuit currents. Their maintenance may only be carried out or supervised by personnel familiar with the necessary precautions. When replacing them, exactly the same battery type and the same number of batteries must be used, because incorrect models present an explosion hazard. Batteries must under no circumstances be disposed of in fire, opened or mechanically destroyed. The electrolyte that escapes is toxic and can cause severe chemical burns to the skin and eyes. Always dispose of used batteries properly and in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
This product and the batteries it contains are subject to strict European and national environmental regulations and must under no circumstances be disposed of in normal household waste at the end of their service life. The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol on the device indicates that the UPS system must be collected separately from unsorted municipal waste. Please take the retired device to an official municipal collection point, such as a recycling center, or return it to an electronics dealer or the manufacturer for proper recycling. Remember to reset network-capable management cards to factory settings in advance so that any stored network configurations are deleted. Special attention is required for the lead-acid batteries installed in the UPS, because they contain toxic heavy metals and corrosive acids that can cause severe environmental damage if disposed of improperly. If possible, remove the batteries from the system before disposal and take them to separate battery collection. Used industrial batteries can be returned free of charge to the manufacturer, distributor or special take-back systems. To avoid short circuits and the associated fire or explosion risks, tape over the exposed battery terminals with insulating tape before transport. Packaging materials should also be recycled properly for the sake of the environment: dispose of cardboard and paper with waste paper, while films, Styrofoam and plastic straps belong in the appropriate recycling collection, such as the yellow bag or yellow bin.
