Compact form factor, rack installation, runtime and SNMP are the key points here.
UPS systems
Buy UPS systems and have them designed appropriately
ERREPI supplies OnPower online UPS systems for commercial applications and supports you with the correct design. We check performance, runtime, rack installation, battery concept, monitoring, bypass and service requirements - so that your UPS is not only ordered, but also reliably fits the application.

First interpretation
You don't need to know the appropriate UPS power yet
Many customers initially only know the consumers, the location of use or the desired level of reliability. That's enough for the first step. From this, ERREPI derives performance, running time, battery reserve, design, accessories and service requirements.
- Which devices should be secured?
- What power or number of consumers is known?
- How long should the UPS last?
- Where should the system be located: rack, technical room, office or control cabinet?
- Is there already an existing UPS?
- Is monitoring, bypass, battery replacement or service required?

Choose your suitable UPS entry
Start with the topic that is currently important to your system. We guide you from rack installation, performance, runtime, monitoring, bypass and accessories to the right UPS selection.

Estimate UPS runtime in advance
With the runtime simulator, you can test load, target time, reserve and battery condition as an initial orientation. The simulation does not replace technical sizing, but it helps you get started with the right power class.
Decision support
Which UPS fits which application?
Not every UPS system fits every environment. What matters is the loads, load profile, desired backup time, form factor, monitoring and maintainability.
Online technology, controlled shutdown and sufficient reserve are the priorities.
Power, connection space, bypass and maintenance should be considered together.
Short outages, network, card payments and simple support need to fit together.
VFI stands for online UPS with defined output quality; alarm contacts can relay operating states.
Replacement, battery, successor and compatibility are checked based on the existing UPS.
Before purchase
A UPS fits when load, runtime and operation are considered together
A UPS should not be chosen by price or kVA rating alone. For reliable operation, power, battery, installation location, monitoring and maintenance must all fit together.
The kVA rating is not the only deciding factor. What matters is real power, power factor, load peaks, reserve and future expansions.
The desired backup time influences battery, enclosure, weight, aging reserve and service concept.
Rack, tower, technical room or special environments place different demands on space, airflow, connection space and maintenance.
SNMP, RS232, USB and alarm contacts help integrate battery operation, remaining runtime and faults into operations in a controlled way.
A UPS should be integrated so that battery replacement, inspection and maintenance can be planned without unnecessary risk.
Accessories and service
Plan accessories and service from the start
The right UPS often requires more than just the unit and battery. Depending on the application, rack rails, battery extensions, SNMP cards, bypass, alarm contacts, replacement batteries or services are important. ERREPI helps you not just buy the UPS, but integrate it sensibly into your operation.
Batteries must fit the system, runtime and aging reserve.
MonitoringSNMP adapters and monitoringSNMP adapters integrate the UPS into network management and alarming.
MaintenanceBypass and maintenance accessoriesBypass makes service, inspection and controlled bridging easier.
RackRack rails and installation accessoriesRack depth, rails, connection space and airflow should be checked in advance.
ReplacementSpare parts and successorsFor older UPS systems, we check successors, compatibility and battery requirements.
ServiceService and battery replacementMaintenance, battery replacement and inspection should be integrated into operations.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions about UPS systems
What UPS power do I need?
That depends on the connected loads, real power, power factor, desired reserve and backup time. If you do not know the power requirement, we assess the application based on your loads.
What does runtime mean for a UPS?
Runtime describes how long the UPS can supply the connected load from the battery during a mains failure. It depends among other things on load, battery, temperature, aging and reserve.
When do I need a 19-inch UPS?
A 19-inch UPS makes sense when servers, network components or technical loads need to be protected in a rack or server cabinet.
When is SNMP useful?
SNMP is useful when the UPS needs to be integrated into network management, alarming or a shutdown concept.
Why should bypass be planned in from the start?
A bypass can make maintenance and service easier because the load and UPS can be isolated or bridged in a more controlled way.
Can I buy directly or should I inquire first?
If model, power, runtime and accessories are already clear, you can buy directly. If the load, runtime or installation environment is unclear, we recommend a short sizing exercise before purchase.
Next step
Not sure what UPS power you need?
Many customers initially only know the loads, location and desired availability. ERREPI derives the power, runtime, battery reserve, rack installation, monitoring, bypass and suitable accessories from that.
