You can usually recognize this by the printed symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin. Before sending your retired adapter into the recycling loop, you should definitely perform a complete factory reset for IT security reasons. Since SNMP cards often store sensitive network information such as internal IP addresses, subnet masks, passwords, and SNMP community strings, resetting to factory settings prevents these critical data from falling into the wrong hands.
